Transportation & Signage Task Force
Purpose: Gather local input and raise issues to the Ministry of Transportation to improve highway signage and visitor mobility along Highway 24.
Objectives of Task Force:
- Better understand the lack of signage or wrong signage and suggest changes for effective signage for wayfinding
- Understand transportation gaps/needs causing difficulties for visitors (e.g. lack of rental cars or EV charging stations)
- Understand common transportation routes and any problems with the roads/signage along them
Requirements – if you join the task force, you will be required to:
- Meet 2-3 times a year
- Document specific input from locals and visitors and share it with CCCT

Land of Hidden Waters Pilot Project to Extend Operating Season & New Package Offerings
Purpose: Create new tourism offerings to increase visitor stays in shoulder season/off season (Fall 2025 & Winter 2026)
Objectives of Pilot Project:
- Connect businesses so there are less gaps for visitors that hinder their decision to stay
- Create new bookable tourism packages (e.g. cross country skiing or cozy cabins) and trip itineraries (e.g. 5 day fall colours road trip)
- Increase offerings around existing events during shoulder/off season (e.g. ice fishing derbies)
- Increase visitation and revenue for businesses in shoulder/off season
Benefits of Joining Pilot Project:
- CCCT will do the match making/connect businesses to develop packages and itineraries based on your interest
- Free content creation by CCCT’s marketing team, you receive the photos and videos captured for your own use
- Your business is featured on new itineraries/social media campaigns, so more visitors can find you/book with you
Timeline of Pilot Project:

March 2025 – express your interest in the pilot project and answer a few questions about your business/offerings
- March 2025 – CCCT does match making and creates itineraries/packages
- April 2025 – feedback on match making and package development
- May-September 2025 – content creation by marketing team
- September/October 2025 – First launch of Fall itineraries/packages
- December 2025/January 2026 – First launch of Winter itineraries/packages

February 2026 – feedback from operators and evaluation of program
Requirements – if you join the pilot project, you will be required to:
- Meet 2-3 times a year
- Extend your regular operating season &/or offer a new product or experience &/or be willing to establish a new partnership with another business
- Share results and feedback with CCCT
