Tourism Summit Postponed to Spring 2018 |
| Due to the unprecedented wildfires in our region this year, and in light of the impacts to our stakeholders, the board has directed staff to move the annual event to early spring. Staff will be meeting with partners in the coming weeks to confirm a new date and you can look forward to updated information shortly.
The event will continue to be hosted in the City of Williams Lake and we thank Mayor, Council and staff of the event’s host City of Williams Lake, for their encouragement during this challenging time. Thank you also to our partners, presenters, sponsors, suppliers and delegates for your input into this decision and support for the spring agenda. We are working towards the spring event having an expanded scope focused on business wildfire recovery. In order to continue to work closely with you, the board and staff will be visiting communities over the next months – stay tuned for details.
