“Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism is taking a team approach to guiding the organization through the coming months while our CEO, Amy Thacker is on a scheduled medical leave for up to six months. We have a great team at CCCT and each of the individuals taking a role is already a key part of our success in promoting our region and fostering the sustainable growth of our local visitor economy.

“Director of Marketing Sydney Redpath will be the lead for the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Marketing Association and Director of Business Development Beverly Evans will be the lead for the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association. Glenn Mandziuk, former CEO of Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, will be contracted to lead government relations and the CCCT role at the BCRTS, Destination BC and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture & Sport. I will remain the media lead for the organization.

“The CCCT has an important mission to tell people why our land without limits is a great place to visit and play, and to help tourism operators and communities be ready to welcome the travelling public. The CCCT team will make sure this continues through the coming months in preparation for what everyone is hoping will be a busy 2022 travel year.

“On behalf of the board of directors we wish Amy well in her recovery and look forward to her return.”

CEO, Amy Thacker shared the following statement.

“Your Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism team is a skilled and spectacular team well positioned to serve you in my absence. I look forward to returning to serve this incredible region and our amazing, resilient operators and communities.”
