Next Steps
Next steps in implementing the Accessible British Columbia Act, which was passed into law on June 17, 2021. There will be key actions in four different areas in years one through 10 of implementation:
- Culture change
- Requirements for the B.C. government
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Standards development
Government is also establishing a Provincial Accessibility Committee “to advise the minister on matters related to accessibility, and to support the development of accessibility standards.”
