60 Years of Service to the Industry

Join the CCCT for our first in person Annual General Meeting since 2019! This Annual General Meeting is special as we will be celebrating the CCCT turning 60!
Come celebrate with us.
Richard will give a general Destination BC corporate update on various programs, including their work to-date on a new strategic plan. He will provide a Destination BC history of working with the CCCTA and his vision for planning with region and stakeholders.
After lunch our speakers include:
Josh Dueck, Paralympian Athlete – From the Olympics to the XGames, Josh’s sit ski feats and positive attitude is legendary. A champion of accessibility, Josh will share his stories of the Cariboo Chilcotin, including time spent paddling the Bowron Lakes Chain.
Walt Judas, Tourism Industry Association of BC CEO – Walt will discuss the major issues that tourism operators currently face, and what policies and recommendations TIABC is advocating for provincially and federally to help the sector rebound from the impacts of the pandemic. The session will also provide an opportunity for delegates to voice their concerns and priorities for government attention.
Ingrid Jarret, BC Hotel Association President and CEO – Ingrid will be outlining some of the BCHA important advocacy files, government relations, as well as benefits of the association and how we can work together better.

$60 (plus GST) includes the full day registration plus lunch and awards ceremony.

Innovation in Tourism
Innovation in Tourism recognizes a stakeholder who introduced an innovative new concept or experience to the tourism industry within the past three years. Nominees will be judged based on their business success and how their innovation positively impacted the tourism industry in our region.
Good Neighbour
The Good Neighbour Award recognizes a stakeholder who drives collaboration, promotes being a better neighbour and is engaged in their local community/area. Nominees will be judged based on how their neighbourly effort positively impact development in the local community or the tourism industry.
Best Tourism Marketing Initiative
The award for Best Tourism Marketing Initiative recognizes a stakeholder for a marketing initiative or campaign that successfully increases business and enhances the tourism industry in our region.
Digital Excellence
The Digital Excellence Award recognizes a stakeholder for best practices or improvements in digital engagement across all channels, such as social media, websites and online optimization that enhances the business and region’s online reputation.
